OTTAWA - The Ottawa RedBlacks know who they’re going to select with the first choice of Tuesday night’s CFL Draft.

But GM Marcel Desjardins isn’t saying who it is.

While the RedBlacks are remaining tight lipped, it’s likely that Laval Rouge et Or offensive lineman Pierre Lavertu, at 6-foot-3, 300 lbs., is their guy. He plays centre, a position of need for the CFL expansion team following the retirement of Marwan Hage.

If they don’t select Lavertu, it could be one of two other offensive linemen — Montreal Carabins’ David Foucault or Simon Fraser’s Matthias Goosen. The consensus No. 1-ranked player Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, who was selected in the sixth round of the NFL draft by the Kansas City Chiefs, will not be Ottawa’s first choice.

Will the RedBlacks pick an offensive lineman?
