For many Canadian football players, it's a dream -- a shot to play in the CFL.

One-hundred and forty-two football players each plunked down $75 bucks on Sunday as the Ottawa RedBlacks hosted an open tryout camp at Carleton University's Ravens Field.

There was some heartbreak -- a couple of the players got injured -- but most of all, there was hope, even though chances are few, if any, of the players will get a callback from the RedBlacks.

But it's that longshot chance, maybe this is the time opportunity knocks, that lured players from not only the Ottawa area, but some from much further away.
