OTTAWA - Rick Campbell doesn't just want to win. He expects to win.

Introduced as the RedBlacks first head coach at a ceremony Friday, the 42-year-old Campbell brings 15 years of CFL coaching experience, most recently as defensive co-ordinator with the Calgary Stampeders.

While his experience and pedigree — the son of Edmonton Eskimos coaching legend Hugh Campbell — was attractive to GM Marcel Desjardins, it's his enthusiasm that will be infectious to fans.

“We're going to turn into a real football team fast, and away we go,” Campbell said by way of introduction. “This is all about winning, so we're going to try to surround ourselves — coaches and players — with the best people that we can find to help us win football games, because in the end that's all that matters.”
