OTTAWA - Soon enough, Dec. 16 to be precise, the Ottawa RedBlacks will begin to take shape when they participate in the CFL Expansion Draft.

Without getting too deep into the logistics of the draft, the RedBlacks will select from a list of unprotected players from the other CFL teams.

One of the big concessions the CFL has given the RedBlacks is that each team can protect just one of its quarterbacks, so Ottawa should end up with a couple of pretty good pivots.

It's believed some of the CFL's young quarterbacks, including Toronto's Zack Collaros, are free agents, so the RedBlacks likely won't select them — perhaps pursuing them through free agency instead.
