Ottawa CFL team narrows GM candidates list to four

OTTAWA - Jeff Hunt's hunt for a football GM is down to a list of four.

On Monday, he confirmed it includes Montreal Alouettes assistant GM Marcel Desjardins -- whom Hunt had a second interview with this week -- and Hamilton Tiger-Cats assistant GM/director of player personnel Joe Womack, two candidates first revealed by the Sun Nov. 20.

Sources are sure it also has on it former Gee-Gees coach Marcel Bellefeuille, whose pro resume includes the jobs of coach in Hamilton, plus offensive co-ordinator with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Montreal Alouettes.

The fourth name is generally only whispered in conversations about the Ottawa opportunity at the moment, as he is a former CFL player who currently has a "big job with a very successful team."
