OTTAWA - People think, because of reports in another local newspaper, that they already know the name of Ottawa’s soon-to-be christened CFL franchise.
People think, because of the compelling case made by a popular sports radio morning show host who was actually first to throw it out there, that the name will be the same as one of Canada’s greatest rock bands.
People shouldn’t, however, put too much stock into all the talk because, as Jeff Hunt said in a phone conversation Friday afternoon: “People are getting themselves needlessly distracted by that name.”
So relax, people of Ottawa, your new pro football team will not be called Rush, or any variation thereof.
