The Renegades have plugged a hole on their offensive line.
The CFL club has reached a verbal agreement with free-agent, non-import guard Sandy Annunziata on a four-year deal, the Sun has learned.
Annunziata, a 10-year veteran, has played for the last two Grey Cup-winning teams. He started for the Eskimos last season before suffering an injury and was a member of the Argos from 1999-2005.
Annunziata, who will make a six-figure salary with the Renegades, joins a team that last week lost centre George Hudson to the Hamilton Ticats. Guard Pascal Cheron is expected to follow Hudson from Ottawa to Hamilton.
A product of Fort Erie, the 6-foot-3, 275-lb. Annunziata played his university ball at Western.
