Four Renegades were named CFL East Division all-stars yesterday.

Running back Josh Ranek, defensive end Anthony Collier, defensive back Korey Banks and receiver/kick returner Jason Armstead earned the nods in a poll conducted by members of the Football Reporters of Canada and league head coaches.

Ranek, the fourth-year back, had another standout season, finishing second in the CFL with 1,907 yards from scrimmage, and a personal-best 1,157 yards rushing, ranking second in the East and fourth in the league.

It was the third time Ranek has been named to the divisional all-star squad.

Armstead, nominated as a receiver and kick returner, ranked second in the league with 3,353 combined yards and established a franchise mark with 1,307 receiving yards.

On defence, Banks received an expected nomination after being voted by Ottawa football reporters as the club's MVP.

The second-year defensive back led the CFL with 11 interceptions, shattering the franchise mark, two of which were returned for TDs.

Collier, named a divisional all-star, like Banks, for the first time, ranked second in the league with 12 sacks, including an incredible five-sack performance July 8 in Vancouver against the Lions.

Collier was named the CFL lineman of the week three times this season and was the lineman of the month for July.

The league's all-star squad will be announced during Grey Cup week.
