Come on, East Division.

It's time.

The West Division for too long has been your big brother, or the bully at school who takes your lunch money and then kicks you when you’re down just to rub it in a little bit more.

It’s time to stand up for yourself.

Why there isn’t an “L” in front of “East” every time the CFL sends out its weekly stats is beyond me. For each and every one of the last seven seasons, the West Division has enjoyed a winning record against the poor boys from the East, owning a .654 points percentage that includes a 4-0 mark this year.

The top three teams in the West right now have 2-1 records, while all four squads in the East Division are 1-2. Why is the East such a lame duck all the time?

Hamilton, Toronto and Winnipeg are the main reasons why. Aside from Toronto’s late-season bloom and run to the Grey Cup last year, those three franchises have been the league’s doormats for most of the past decade.
