It's Anthony Calvillo versus a Calgary Stampeder for CFL most outstanding player once again.

This time, it's running back Joffrey Reynolds who faces the Montreal Alouettes veteran quarterback. Last November, Calvillo edged out Stamps pivot Henry Burris for the league's top award.

Reynolds leads the CFL in yards from scrimmage this season and captured his second straight rushing title, but Calvillo led his team to a 15-3 record and had the league's top passer rating.

Two Stampeders have booked their ticket to the awards ceremony Nov. 26 in Calgary.

Left tackle Ben Archibald was named West Division offensive lineman of the year. He is a first-time nominee in the category and will oppose Montreal Alouettes right guard Scott Flory for the league award.

Stamps kicker Sandro DeAngelis lost out in the special teams category, as Lions linebacker Jason Arakgi, who led the league in special teams tackles, won the West Division honour. Montreal returner Larry Taylor is the East Division nominee.

Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive end John Chick is the West's defensive nominee, while Alouettes defensive end Anwar Stewart comes out of the East.

Lions defensive Ricky Foley is the West's top Canadian and will go head-to-head against Montreal slotback Ben Cahoon.

Lions running back Martell Mallett was named the West Division's top rookie and he will contest for the league award against Blue Bombers defensive back Jonathan Hefney.
