Brendan Taman won't be silent at today's CFL management council meetings in Montreal.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers GM will have a query about the status of two players who are under contract to the Blue and Gold -- quarterback Ryan Dinwiddie and defensive tackle Ron Warner -- but are currently participating in Arena Football League training camps.

"That's going to be an interesting topic (today), because I'm going to bring that up," Taman said. "... I guess I just need some direction on where we're going with this from a league point of view."

THANKS, PINBALL: Toronto Argonauts coach Michael (Pinball) Clemons is skipping the CFL Congress this week.

That's because tomorrow is Valentine's Day, and he doesn't want to be away from his wife.

Clemons is up for coach of the year against Winnipeg's Doug Berry and B.C.'s Wally Buono, but Argos defensive co-ordinator Rich Stubler will be representing him at tonight's dinner.

Taman is worried what other girlfriends and wives might be thinking after Pinball's romantic move.

"Pinball has set the bar pretty high," Taman said with a chuckle

LATE HITS: Offensive lineman Marc Parenteau, who spent 2006 and the last month of the 2005 campaign with the Bombers, signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders yesterday ... The Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-signed slotback Mike Morreale yesterday ... Former Philadelphia Eagles receiver Freddie Mitchell worked out for the Toronto Argonauts over the weekend. Also there was former Eagles and Lions quarterback Mike McMahon.
