JASON MAAS - QB - HAMILTON TIGER-CATS

If the Eskimos miss the playoffs, Maas will have played a huge role. In his first game back at Commonwealth Stadium, he engineers two late scoring drives to win, while ending with 388 yards passing. His best game of the year.

CHARLES ROBERTS - RB - WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS

When the Blue Bombers needed him most, Blink showed up. He ran five times on the final drive yesterday for 85 yards, keeping the yardsticks moving and time ticking. In total, 19 carries for 159 yards and a touchdown.

SANDRO DEANGELIS - K - CALGARY STAMPEDERS

Ho-hum, another perfect night in Calgary with six field goals, including a 51-yard effort.

KYRIES HEBERT - LB -

WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS

Registered the hat trick in Winnipeg's much needed win over Montreal yesterday with a sack, forced fumble and tackle.

LAWRENCE GORDON - DB - HAMILTON TIGER-CATS

All over the field at times last Friday night, with two pass knockdowns, one interception and four tackles.

... PLAYERS FROM THE WEEK THAT WAS

JASON TUCKER - SB - EDMONTON ESKIMOS

In a dismal night for Edmonton, Tucker was a bright light with a game-high 122 yards on eight catches. But more impressively, Tucker caught five balls - all second down conversions - on the Esks' fourth quarter drive to put the club briefly in the lead at 17-10.

YO murphy - SB - SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS

Rider general manager Eric Tillman looks like a genius this morning for picking Murphy off the scrap heap. In his first game this year, Murphy leads the Riders with seven catches for 99 yards including a huge grab in the second overtime possession.

OTIS FLOYD - LB - B.C. LIONS

In a losing effort, Floyd causes THREE forced fumbles, two sacks and four tackles.

EDDIE DAVIS - DB - SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS

For the most part, Davis did a masterful job of keeping Geroy Simon - the league's top player - from doing much damage.

ANDY FANTUZ - SB - SASKATCHEWAN

Rookie grabs the game-winning touchdown in overtime yesterday to beat the Lions after scoring his first ever CFL major late in the fourth.
