Huntington's team of the week

JONATHAN HUNTINGTON -- Edmonton Sun

, Last Updated: 10:05 AM ET

JOFFREY REYNOLDS - RB - CALGARY STAMPEDERS

Tore apart the league's top-ranked run defence for 162 yards on 21 carries, embarrassing Winnipeg.

DAVON FOWLKES - PR - HAMILTON TIGER-CATS

Got the massive monkey off Hamilton's back by scoring early Saturday night with an 86-yard punt return. It marked the first touchdown in more than two months at home and gave the Tabbies a much needed boost in confidence.

DAVE DICKENSON - QB - B.C. LIONS

Only threw four incompletions (18-22) against Montreal and added three more touchdowns.

SAM YOUNG - DB - HAMILTON TIGER-CATS

A huge interception against Ricky Ray in the first half, and a near 60-yard return, gave Hamilton the ball at Edmonton's 13-yard line. A touchdown three plays later gave the Tabbies all the cushion they would need.

SANDRO DEANGELIS - K - CALGARY

On a snowy night in Cowtown, DeAngelis was still a perfect five-for-five on field goals. But credit also goes to snapper Randy Chevrier and holder Brett Ralph for flawlessly handling the slippery pigskin.

... PLAYERS FROM THE WEEK THAT WAS

CORNELIUS ANTHONY - LB - CALGARY STAMPEDERS

His interception of Kevin Glenn early in the second half pretty much killed any hope of a Winnipeg comeback.

ROBERT BROWN - DT - EDMONTON ESKIMOS

A bright light on a low night for the Esks, as he recorded three sacks against Hamilton.

GEROY SIMON - SB - B.C. LIONS

Two more touchdowns - including a beauty early in the third quarter when he turned right around in stride and still caught the ball. In total, the league's top receiver had 157 total yards against Montreal.

OTIS FLOYD - LB - B.C. LIONS

Two sacks, a forced fumble and three tackles in the heart of the Lions' defence.

PAUL MCCALLUM - K - B.C. LIONS

Another perfect night with four more field goals.
