Huntington's team of the week

JONATHAN HUNTINGTON -- Edmonton Sun

SANDRO DE ANGELIS - K - CALGARY

Best clutch performance by a kicker this year. Ties the game against Montreal with a 52-yard field goal, then wins the game 48 seconds later on the final play with a 53-yarder. "This is what you live for as a kicker," said DeAngelis.

HENRY BURRIS - QB - CALGARY

The Stamps wouldn't have had a chance to win the game without Burris, who played an inspiring and gutsy four quarters. Passed for 310 yards, threw two majors and rushed for 53 yards. Most importantly, no interceptions.

DAMON ALLEN - QB - TORONTO

With the Argos really needing a win, Allen delivered with nearly 320 yards passing and no turnovers.

TROY DAVIS - RB - EDMONTON

Put a sock in the mouth of critics with an impressive 91-yard outing on Friday.

BARRON MILES - S - B.C.

Another key interception against Winnipeg and a forced fumble. The wily veteran leads the league with seven picks.

... PLAYERS FROM THE WEEK THAT WAS

PAUL MCCALLUM - K- LIONS

Almost tied a career single-game high with six field goals against Winnipeg. His only miss was from beyond 50 yards. Now a stellar 21-for-23 this year.

KEITH KENTON - RB - SASKATCHEWAN

The only offensive highlight for the Riders, recording 40% of their total offence with 103 yards on the ground. On one run, he seemed to carry or pull half of the Eskimo defensive unit for several yards.

BRENT JOHNSON - DE - B.C.

Just a ridiculous night at the office on Thursday: one sack, one fumble recovery and two picks.

NAUTYN MCKAY - DE - B.C.

Literally rips the ball out of QB Mike Quinn's hand and rumbles 69 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

ARLAND BRUCE - WR - TORONTO

A week-high 171 yards on seven receptions. He had more yards than the entire Argo receiving core combined.
