MILT STEGALL - SB - WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS

The ageless wonder added to his Winnipeg legend with a 100-yard TD catch-and-run to beat Edmonton with no time on the clock. The play prompted Winnipeg's Troy Westwood to suggest this newspaper headline: "Milt is God."

JOE SMITH - RB - B.C. LIONS

Say goodbye to Antonio Warren in Vancouver. Replacing Warren on Friday, Smith had the best offensive performance by a B.C. running back in four years: 138 rushing yards and 3 TDs.

BASHIR LEVINGSTON - SB/KR -

TORONTO ARGOS

Ended the CFL drought by recording the first punt-return TD of the year. He then notched his first-ever TD reception on a 50-yard strike from Spergon Wynn.

MIKE ECHOLS - DB -

HAMILTON TICATS

In his first-ever game with the Tabbies, he scored on a 93-yard interception return.

CHIP COX - DB - MONTREAL ALOUETTES

Blocked a Pat Fleming punt for the second time this year.

... PLAYERS FROM THE WEEK THAT WAS

BARRON MILES - S- B.C. LIONS

The best safety in the league. Period. Two more interceptions and a forced fumble against Calgary.

DANTE MARSH - DB - B.C. LIONS

A 63-yard interception return for a TD on the final play of the third quarter ended Henry Burris's night and sealed B.C.'s win over Calgary.

KITWANA JONES - LB - SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS

An emerging stud in Regina, getting two more sacks and causing a fumble against Toronto.

RIALL JOHNSON - DE -

TORONTO ARGONAUTS

He also had two sacks and a forced fumble, but it was in a winning cause for the Argos.

TROY WESTWOOD- P -

WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS

With a brilliant 49-yard average on seven punts against Edmonton, Westwood secured that job, as the Bombers released their second import punter of the year - Sam Paulescu - yesterday.
