Jim Popp’s wife survived a shark attack while swimming at Hilton Head Island in South Carolina.

Popp, general manager of the Montreal Alouettes, tweeted gruesome photos Wednesday night of the bite marks on his wife Kimberly’s left leg. The wounds required dozens of stitches.

“My Super Hero wife Kim, mother of 6, sweet as honey, tougher than steel. Bit by shark in HHI. Odds: 1 in 11.5 million,” Popp wrote.

A native of North Carolina, Popp has been GM of the CFL franchise since 1994 when it was known as the Baltimore Stallions before moving to Montreal in 1996.
