VERO BEACH, FLA. - He is quite possibly the most famous football player to ever venture into the CFL, but he's not quite in it yet.
Chad Johnson just wants to play football again and the Montreal Alouettes liked what they saw from the six-time Pro Bowler during their three-day mini-camp at Historic Dodgertown. So shortly after the final practice was held Thursday, the man formerly known as Ochocinco signed a two-year contract with the Alouettes and will report to the team's training camp in June.
"It was so awesome to have that feeling again, man," the 36-year-old said. "You don't understand. Seriously, I don't think I can conjure the words to describe that feeling of coming out of a locker-room again and the talking, and the going back and forth, and the competing.
"I haven't taken a shower in three days, because I like the smell. I'm so happy to be back."
