The Montreal Alouettes shored up their offence Monday by signing a pair of veteran free agents.

The Als inked quarterback Quinton Porter and receiver Arland Bruce III to three-year contracts. Montreal also added former Toronto Argonauts defensive back Byron Parker, who signed a two-year deal.

"We welcome Arland, Byron and Quinton to the Alouettes," Alouettes general manager Jim Popp said. "We have added three solid professionals to our organization today."

Porter was a starter at times with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats but served as backup to Henry Burris in 2012. In five seasons with the Ticats, Porter passed for 4,095 yards and 21 touchdowns.

"Quinton has been on my radar screen for some time," Popp said. "We feel his potential can reach great heights and we look forward in getting him into the Alouettes system."

Bruce, a former Argo and B.C. Lions standout, is a three-time CFL all-star. Last season he had 43 catches for 603 yards and five TDs for the Lions.

Parker is a three-time all-star with 29 career interceptions and holds the record for most career picks returned for TDs, with nine. He played for B.C. last season but was released on Friday.
