Alouettes' Wilson retires By QMI Agency

Defensive tackle Eric Wilson, a two-time Grey Cup winner with the Montreal Alouettes, ended his eight-year CFL career Tuesday.

Wilson, who spent the last five seasons with the Alouettes and won the Grey Cup in 2009 and '10, played a total of 110 games in the CFL after spending time with the Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions. He had 54 tackles and five sacks in his career.

"Eric has been a true warrior," Alouettes general manager Jim Popp said. "He came to work ready to compete every day and was a team player and a leader from the day he joined the Alouettes organization."

Wilson signed with the Als as a free agent in 2007 after starting his career with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
