Mike Labinjo starred in the 2008 Grey Cup game in Montreal.

Now, the former Calgary Stampeders defensive lineman will be earning his paycheques in La Belle Province.

The Stamps announced Wednesday afternoon they've traded Labinjo to the Montreal Alouettes for future considerations.

The non-import defensive tackle spent four seasons with the Red & White, suiting up for 44 regular-season games and registering 61 tackles, six sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

After a coming-out party in the 2008 playoffs, he reported for the following training camp in poor shape and struggled to regain his form. He has struggled with injuries the past two campaigns.
