MONTREAL — The taped crowd noise blasting through stadium speakers during Alouettes practice on Friday had some observers checking to see if a 747 jet was landing on top of the Big O’s roof.

According to quarterback Anthony Calvillo, that was nothing. If you want loud, just wait until Sunday.

“Playing in this stadium is a real advantage, especially now,” Calvillo said. “There are probably only a handful of Toronto guys who have played in this stadium. They’re not going to be used to this field. They’re not going to be used to 60,000 fans screaming.”

“It gets extra loud in here ... I think that is a huge advantage for us.”
