HAMILTON - As effective as Dan LeFevour was after the huddle would break during the Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ first win of 2014, it’s what the quarterback was doing before the snap of the football on each offensive play that was as integral.

“It just felt like we never forced it out there, it was not like we were running around frantically, saying we have to make this play,” receiver Luke Tasker said on Monday.

“It was more like, ‘Let’s get one first down and keep rolling the ball.’ That probably starts from Dan and his mentality in the huddle.

“Confidence, Dan has it naturally. You have that in the huddle, and it spreads.”

That’s good news to the ears of Tiger-Cats fans, because LeFevour won’t have much choice but to demand the same approach from himself not only on Thursday night when the Ticats play host to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at McMaster University, but for the foreseeable future.
