The Tiger-Cats overcame a lot last season -- from playing their home games in Guelph to adjusting to new systems on both sides of the ball.

But when push came to shove, the Ticats showed their mettle, producing a late-season run that would vault them into the Grey Cup, where they would lose to the host Saskatchewan Roughriders.

But the football bar now has been raised in The Hammer, and a similar path may play out, perhaps one with a better ending.

There's a new stadium being built on the site previously known as Ivor Wynne, forcing the Tabbies to be on the road in the early going.

There's also a new quarterback in town and enough changes in all three phases of the game that can be addressed only in time and with patience.

In the CFL, it's not how one starts, but how one finishes.
