Kent Austin didn’t have to watch the game film to confirm what he already knew.

But Austin, the general manager/head coach of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, viewed the East final tape anyway, and was just as impressed with quarterback Henry Burris as he was when he saw the performance live.

Burris took over in the second half of the East final on Sunday, controlling the Ticats attack with his right arm and his feet as Hamilton rubbed out a seven-point Toronto Argonauts lead and won 36-24.

“Hank’s play in the second half was really unbelievable,” Austin said on Monday, as the Ticats started to prepare for the Grey Cup this Sunday in Regina.

“His desire to win was really fun to watch. It was not just Hank — all the guys. Just across the board it was a great effort by our guys.

“He just really decided he was going to do everything within his power to win the football game along with guys around him.”
