A year after Orlondo Steinauer helped the Toronto Argonauts win the Grey Cup, he is doing everything in his power to stop the Boatmen from lifting the silver chalice again.

As such, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive co-ordinator has to make it perfectly clear to his group this week that playoff football is a different animal.

“I want the men to know that the intensity is about to get ramped up,” Steinauer said on Wednesday, four days before the East Division final at the Rogers Centre.

“If they think they understand that, they don’t. That’s my job right now, to prepare them the best I can and ultimately free them to go out there and play full speed.

“They have to understand the magnitude is a lot different. Everybody has a little less quit in them and they are going to fight until the end. Add that (the Argos) are a defending champion, and we’re going to have a battle.”
