HAMILTON - The (not so special) Ticats special teams are under the gun this week.

The first casualty is placekicker Luca Congi, who missed a pair of field goals from 47 and 37 yards in a tough loss to Calgary on Friday and will now step aside and let rookie Brett Lauther handle the kicking duties.

How long the kid from Truro, N.S., keeps the job will be up to him.

If he makes his kicks, Congi could be waiting a long time. If not, it sounds very much like Congi will get another opportunity.
