Tiger-Cats defensive tackle Brian Bulcke knows exactly what it feels like when a defensive line finds that elusive chemistry that takes them from being just a good front to a great one.

When the men who make up the line get so comfortable with each other and accustomed to one another that you almost know what the guy beside you is going to do before he does it.

He was a member of such a line in his senior year at Stanford in 2010 and while that was in a 3-4 formation, unlike the traditional four-down linemen the Ticats line up, he and his fellow Cardinals linemates Matt Masifilo and Sione Fua got to that sweet spot of knowing each other’s tendencies so well it was almost like three bodies operating as one.
