If the Allies of the Second World War had launched a ground assault like the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, it must be feared that the good guys still would be stuck on the beaches of Normandy.

Hamilton trails the entire league in rushing at a mere 261 yards gained. That adds up to just 34 giant steps more than Eskimos running back Hugh Charles has earned by himself.

Last week they lost tailback Lindsey Lamar to a concussion. The offensive line was well, offensive, in all the wrong sense of the word — failing to punch the ball over from the one yard line for what might’ve been a game-changing TD.

Chances are that what they do with the running game Friday against the Edmonton Eskimos will be a decisive factor in whether they can go into the bye week with more than one win.
