Kent Austin is leaving no stone unturned in making sure his quarterback gets the best possible protection.

The general manager and head coach of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats added to his stable of run blockers and quarterback protectors when he acquired eight-year CFL veteran Dahrran Diedrick from the Montreal Alouettes in exchange for a fourth-round selection.

As first reported in the Hamilton Spectator, the deal went down on Sunday.

The former Cedarbrae Collegiate standout from Scarborough has made his name in the CFL with his blocking ability and his special teams play.
