Gaydosh, picked first by Ticats, signs with NFL's Panthers

Less than a week after going first overall in the CFL draft, the news keeps getting better for Linden Gaydosh.
Buoyed by an impressive combine showing in March and helped out by the fact a number of top prospects signed NFL deals, the 6-foot-3, 314-pounder Calgary Dinos defensive tackle shot to the top of draft boards and was plucked first by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
But when the Peace River, Alta., product actually dons a Ticats uniform is now in question after Gaydosh inked a deal Sunday with the Carolina Panthers, following an impressive mini-camp at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.
“If I was at a loss for words during the CFL draft, I don’t even know how to describe this,” Gaydosh said from a Charlotte hotel room Sunday after his agent, Darren Gill, announced the signing via Twitter. “It was just like, ‘Wow. I can’t believe this kind of opportunity is coming to a guy like me. I’ve got to take this and run with it right now.’
