CALGARY - This just in: Henry Burris is one excitable cat.

And these days, his enthusiasm is peaking with every waking morning.

It’s not just because the veteran quarterback is champing at the bit for the upcoming CFL season but because he’s thrilled at the sudden promise of success alongside a tried and true football warrior like himself in Kent Austin.

“Kent’s a great coach,” said Burris of the new head sidelines boss with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. “And when you have a coach like him, you want to go to the wall for him. To be playing against Kent for a number of years, and to hear quarterbacks like Damon Allen and Kerry Joseph talk about him the way they do, it’s exciting to know you’re getting a coach like him.

“Everything others have recited about him is consistent,” Burris continued. “Both Damon and Kerry tell me, ‘You’re going to enjoy working with him.’”

That seems especially true if you’re a CFL pivot.
