The state of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats

After finishing last year with a dismal 6-12 record, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats were busy reshaping their roster this off-season. We take a closer look at those numerous changes while considering what went so very wrong in 2012:

Looking back on 2012

In a nutshell, three Cs ultimately doomed the Ticats: Coaching, consistency and chemistry. These three issues were never properly addressed and were the three most impactful reasons why the team, which looked good on paper, ended the year with a 6-12 record, including an abysmal 1-8 mark on the road.

The season was summed up in two late-season losses, the first in Calgary on a botched hold on a field-goal attempt, the second in the season finale in Toronto, where Hamilton trailed 20-3 after the opening quarter and could not stop an Argos offence in the fourth quarter with a fourth-string quarterback under centre, leading to a 43-40 loss.

What do you think of the name 'RedBlacks' for the new Ottawa CFL franchise?
  It's awful
  Guess it works
Meh, I don't follow the CFL
  Best name yet
