TORONTO - The Hamilton Ticats are hoping some Orlondo magic will help turn the tide this season.
The Tabbies’ off-season reconstruction continued Thursday, with the announcement that Orlondo Steinauer has come on board as defensive co-ordinator.
Steinauer departs the Toronto Argonauts, where he spent the previous three seasons as a defensive backs coach, including a 12-week stint as interim defensive co-ordinator in 2011.
The native of Seattle, Wash., enjoyed a pro football career spanning 13 seasons, including three with the Ticats and seven with the Argos.
“It’s good to be back in the black and gold,” Steinauer told a gathering of reporters in Steeltown on Thursday. “It’s been awhile — ’99 was the last time I was here. I’m excited about the opportunity.”
