Collins tops list of Ticats' injuries

HAMILTON - Milt Collins, brought in to plug a leaky Ticats’ secondary, heads a list of players likely to miss Friday’s game against Winnipeg.
Head coach Marcel Bellefeuille said Collins is “doubtful” for a game that could pull the Ticats into a three-way tie for first if they can win their third consecutive game.
Although, that’s assuming the Argos can beat the Alouettes.
Hamilton also continues to miss centre Marwan Hage, who didn’t practice again Tuesday. “We know how important he his. When he comes back, we want him back for the rest of the year,” said Bellefeuille.
“We have to be smart about this.”
Hage has missed four games with a sprained knee.
Wide receiver Matt Carter is out with a concussion.
Meantime, Bombers quarterback Buck Pierce didn’t practice Tuesday but said he will return for the rest of the week and expects to start.
The Bombers also made a move to shore up a weak spot, trading for punter Jamie Boreham.
They have also added quarterback Michael Bishop as insurance for Pierce and backup Alex Brink, who both are battling injuries.
