Big gains for Ticats
By

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have added some size and depth on offence with the announcement Wednesday of four signings.

The Ticats have acquired receivers Aaron Kelly out of Clemson and Chris Williams from New Mexico State, running back Glenn Milner from Central Missouri and offensive lineman Brian Simmons, who attended training camp with the New England Patriots in 2010 after four seasons at Oklahoma.

General manager Bob O'Billovich said Kelly, at 6-foot-5, gives the Ticats another dimension on offence. Kelly complements the "smaller, quicker, elusive guys that we do have" at receiver.

Simmons also brings size -- at 6-foot-5 and 304 pounds. "He looks like he's wearing shoulder pads when he is walking around in just his street clothes," O'Billovich said.

Milner is a 6-foot, 220-pound back, while Williams -- a potentially explosive kick returner -- is at the other end of the spectrum at 5-foot-9, 155 pounds.

What do you think of the name 'RedBlacks' for the new Ottawa CFL franchise?
  It's awful
  Guess it works
Meh, I don't follow the CFL
  Best name yet
