HAMILTON -- The good news is seats are still available for this Sunday's Eastern Division semifinal playoff.

The bad news is seats are still available.

A Tiger-Cats spokesman last night said that 22,201 tickets had been sold for the game against Toronto at 29,500-seat Ivor Wynne.

Whether that's good or bad news depends on which side of the cash register you are standing.

The Ticats had been hoping for a sellout.

"We want a full house ... we need our fans," said defensive end Stevie Baggs this week. but the Ticats were seventh in the league in attendance this year, averaging just 23,890.

The only team with a lower average attendance was Toronto, at 22,237.

It doesn't appear any more fans are inclined to show up even if it is a playoff game.
