The Hamilton Tiger-Cats, trying to secure their first home playoff game since 2001, will be going with a green kicker today.

Nick Setta went down with a quadriceps injury on Friday, so Jeremy Ito, who had been on Hamilton's practice roster since Oct. 10 but got released on Thursday, will be called upon instead.

"He gets the ball up in the air, which I really like," Ticats head coach Marcel Bellefeuille said. "He's a kid that's played well and played well in big games in college and done both in college, so I'm sure he'll be fine.

"I hear (the wind) is only going to be 15 (km/h), so luck may be on our side there."

Curiously, the Ticats didn't make Ito available to the media yesterday, calling it an "organizational decision." Ito, 23, was supposed to fly home to New Jersey yesterday, but he was told late Friday that he was going to Winnipeg instead.

"He's tired, and it's been a whirlwind for him," Bellefeuille said.

The Ticats could also use slotback Dave Stala, who has CFL punting experience, if Ito gets hurt or struggles.
