REGINA - Kory Sheets cut left, then right, then darted untouched up the stairs of the stage at Mosaic Stadium.

He hadn’t stopped moving. His shoulders were still juking. His feet were still dancing. The smile wouldn’t leave his face, his fist pumping, his mom standing not far away with tears in her eyes.

And the Grey Cup was already over, over really for most of the game, the mighty Saskatchewan Roughriders delivering the ultimate for the most rabid of all Canadian football fans.

“All his life he’s wanted to do this,” said Krystal Sheets McKenzie. “And you know what, look around, look at these people, all these people have been waiting all their lives for something like this too.”

The music blared. The white and green confetti blew on the windy night and the greatest franchise in the Canadian Football League is champion for only the fourth time, the first time at home. A record breaking week ending with a record-breaking championship.
