REGINA - Everything needed to go right and yet everything went terribly wrong.

Virtually every break needed to Hamilton’s way and even then the chances of pulling off an epic upset in the heart of Rider Nation was no sure thing.

When the officials weren’t doing the Ticats any favours, unable to call a fumble when a fumble clearly played out, when contact to a receiver went undetected, the Ticats were imploding, playing with no poise, no purpose, no sense of desperation when the stage demanded it.

In Toronto, the Argos must be wondering what Ticats team showed up for last week’s second half, a squad that belied the team that would fall behind 31-6 in the first half of the biggest game of the year.

Henry Burris said all the right things during Grey Cup week, maintaining a belief that his return to Riderville would be no big deal.
