Grey Cup selling like hotcakes
More than 32,000 tickets are already sold and the general public isn't even allowed to buy them yet

EDMONTON - A total of 32,769 tickets have already been sold for this year's Grey Cup game in Edmonton.

“We're well ahead of where we were at this point in 2002,” said Eskimos' CEO Rick LeLacheur.

The Eskimos are still in the season ticket holder option of the Grey Cup sales. Season ticket holders not only get first crack at seat selection, they are also allowed to double up for tickets.

The sale of tickets to the general public, — in Edmonton or anywhere else — doesn't kick in until July 1.

LeLacheur said the Eskimos are also well positioned for this point in terms of sponsorships.
