BUFFALO -- To be the Grey Cup parade grand marshal, Elisha Cuthbert has to be big football fan.
"I'd probably say (I'm a bigger fan)," said Dion Phaneuf, who has been dating the actress for more than a year.
Cuthbert, who was born in Calgary, will lead the parade later this month amidst the festivities leading up to the Nov. 29 game at McMahon Stadium.
"I think it's great," Phaneuf said yesterday. "She's very honoured to be asked to do that. She's from Calgary and really likes the city. I think it's great she's supporting that event."
Cuthbert, 26, is known best for her role in the TV show 24, and has appeared in several Hollywood movies.
She will also partake in other events throughout Grey Cup week.
The parade will be held Nov. 28, beginning at 11 a.m., starting on 6th Avenue S.W. and Macleod Trail, and work it's way to Olympic Plaza.
The Flames will be on the road, but the news spread throughout the Flames dressing room yesterday, and apparently all the players want to celebrate.
"Dion should buy us all a dinner," said captain Jarome Iginla. "I don't know if there's any relation there, as far as a dinner, but any time we can get a dinner out of him, we'll try to get it."
