He might be the king around this town, but the Edmonton Eskimos proved that you can push little Willy around.

Way down. But he didn’t stay down. So the Sweet song wasn’t totally wrong. But they put Winnipeg Blue Bombers Drew Willy under enough pressure to taste sweet victory Thursday night.

The score was 26-3 for the visitors, while the sack race also ended 5-4 in Edmonton’s favour — a department they have yet to be out-performed in this season.

But there’s always two sides to it, as Eskimos head coach Chris Jones points out.

“It was a physical night for both sides and our quarterback got touched a time too many,” said Jones, who watched Mike Reilly scramble for 96 yards on 10 carries to go along with completing 18 of 31 passes for 192 yards, a touchdown and an interception. “He’s a physical, big quarterback and that’s what he does. He’s a winner.”
