EDMONTON - Odds makers are expecting big things once again from Fred Stamps this season.

Bodog.com came out with its betting lines for the upcoming CFL season on Wednesday, putting the Edmonton Eskimos slotback as the odds-on favourite to repeat as the league’s leader in receiving yards.

The eight-year veteran has the highest over/under for receiving yards at 1,200 this season, a full 100 yards ahead of Calgary Stampeders slotback Nik Lewis and Montreal Alouettes receiver S.J. Green, who are projected to tie for second place.

Last season, Stamps led the CFL with 1,259 yards on 68 receptions, along with a career-best 11 touchdown catches. And that was despite missing three games due to injury.

While it’s nice to have early expectations, Stamps said he’s not one to bet the farm on whether or not the projections will come true.
