VANCOUVER - Well, there's always next week.

Until next week, of course.

The Edmonton Eskimos played the penultimate game on their 2013 CFL schedule on Friday, falling 43-29 to the B.C. Lions.

It was Edmonton's fifth-straight loss as their record dropped to 3-14, and 0-9 against West Division opponents..

They'll have one last chance next week in Regina before seeing an end to what has been a historically miserable season.

After taking an 11-point lead early in the second quarter at BC Place Stadium Friday, the Eskimos coughed up their 14th loss of the season, tying a franchise worst set in 1963, when they finished 2-14.
