EDMONTON - There are two weeks left in a forsaken season that will see the Edmonton Eskimos miss playoffs for the fourth time in the past eight years since their last Grey Cup.

So, why is their starting quarterback and most prized possession not sitting on the sidelines with his feet up watching the last handful of practices?

Mike Reilly will tell you that for as much as he may have established himself as the hands-down leader of this team and a legitimate starter in this league, he still doesn’t have a single full season under his belt as a CFL starter.

Sure, he’s played more than 18 CFL games if you add his three starts in 2012 to this year’s 3-13 record, but never 18 on the same calendar.

But that’s about to change, if head coach Kavis Reed has his way.
