With Edmonton’s civic election on the horizon, the self-proclaimed Mayor of Swaggerville is doing some campaigning of his own this weekend.

Edmonton Eskimos defensive end Odell Willis is returning to his former constituency of Riderville to take on a Saskatchewan Roughriders club that he spent the 2012 season with.

Saturday’s game in Regina (2:30 p.m., TSN, 630 CHED) will be as much a town hall forum as it is a football game for Willis, but he’s not about to let himself get into any sideline debates with Roughriders fans. His platform is strictly about winning.

“My focus is the game,” Willis said. “Me sitting there talking to them, I’m not in the game. I just want to hear something good if they’re going to be talking.”

And he expects to hear plenty of opinionated comments from his ex-constituents.
