Simeon Rottier will play on Saturday.

One week after getting benched amidst a flurry of criticism by Edmonton Eskimos general manager Ed Hervey directed at the team — and pointing out the right guard specifically — Rottier will play on when the Eskimos host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Commonwealth Stadium (4:30 p.m., TSN, 630 CHED).

“Simeon has always been a part of the Edmonton Eskimos team, despite not playing last week,” Hervey stated in the release. “I’ve had a chance to meet with and talk extensively with Simeon and we acknowledge that I want him on the team and he wants to be on the team.
