EDMONTON - A dangerous hit to the head of Edmonton Eskimos quarterback Mike Reilly has netted a fine for a Saskatchewan Roughriders linebacker.

Weldon Brown nailed Edmonton Eskimos quarterback Mike Reilly with an "illegal and dangerous hit" during Saturday's game, according to a CFL release.

The CFL does not disclose the value of fines.

Reilly threw for more than 300 yards Saturday, for the third consecutive game. He went 19 for 29 for 303 yards with three touchdown passes and two interceptions. The Roughriders won the game 30-27.

The struggling Eskimos visit the Calgary Stampeders Monday at 3 p.m. The Green and Gold sport a 1-7 record this year, and are on a six-game losing streak. The Stampeders, meanwhile, are 6-2 and are 2nd overall in the league.
