Giving his teammates a thumbs up as they head into the heart of their schedule without him isn’t even an option for Eskimos linebacker JC Sherritt.

He has to settle for a thumb up. Singular.

The other one is hidden under a big black cast and won’t be ready for three weeks, minimum, after he had it surgically repaired during Edmonton’s bye week.

“I just got hit in the right spot,” said Sherritt, who broke the thumb, badly as it turns out, during Edmonton’s 30-29 loss to Hamilton.
