EDMONTON - When centre Alex Krausnick signed a free-agent contract with the Eskimos this off-season, he was supposed to be a huge part of the up-front rebuilding project.

Krausnick had played in 30 games with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who made him a fourth-round draft choice in 2011 out of the University of Calgary.

A promising start was cut short when Krausnick suffered a knee injury during week 2 of training camp.
